Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Olabisi artist, clinical counselor, yoga teacher, educator, and retired U.S. Army Chaplain. My work embodies the belief that art heals what words cannot. As the founder of Peace of Mind Counseling, Coaching & Consultingand Igniting Intuition: Mind Body Soul, I integrate creative process, mindfulness, and psychotherapy to support individuals navigating trauma, transition, and renewal. I utilize art as therapy—combining creative expression with trauma-informed practices to help individuals reconnect with their inner strength and stories.
My approach draws from over three decades of service in mental health, military, and community wellness, blending evidence-based modalities with expressive and spiritual practices.
I specialize in using art as therapy—including collage, journaling, and mixed media—to help participants translate emotion into color, movement, and texture. Through Igniting Intuition workshops and creative wellness retreats, I encourage participants to slow down, reconnect with intuition, and transform pain into creative purpose. Sessions are grounded in trauma-conscious, strength-based, and culturally responsivemethods that honor the whole person—mind, body, and soul.
As a former military chaplain and behavioral health clinician, Ibring deep empathy and discipline to the work with veterans, families, and caregivers, helping them rediscover inner peace and belonging through creative expression. I believe that art is not merely decorative—it is restorative, allowing individuals and communities to reclaim agency, resilience, and voice.
I continue to inspire others through teaching, mentoring, and public speaking, advancing the intersection of art, spirituality, and mental health. Through workshops, retreats, and clinical sessions, I guide veterans, families, and communities to use art as a transformative tool for self-awareness, resilience, and healing—proving that creativity itself is medicine for the soul. Whether in a studio, classroom, or therapy room, my mission remains constant: to ignite creativity as a pathway to healing, transformation, and self-discovery.
